Contact the Desk
There is one editorial mailbox, editor@riftcompareke.com, and it is for questions about what this site publishes.
The one mailbox
All editorial mail goes to editor@riftcompareke.com, and that is the only address the desk publishes. Messages about a page's content, a figure that looks out of date or a broker that should be checked are read in the order they arrive. The desk does not promise a response time in hours or days.
Please write in plain language and include the page address if your message is about a specific claim. That makes it possible to find the source document and check it against what was published.
What the desk will and will not help with
The desk will explain how a figure on the site was reached, point to the broker document behind it and describe how a broker was tested. It will also accept a report of an error or an out-of-date figure and act on it through the corrections process.
The desk will not help with account problems, deposits, withdrawals or fund recovery, and it cannot contact a broker on a reader's behalf. It does not give personal advice or say whether to trade gold. Those matters belong with the broker and, where relevant, with the regulator.
No guest posts and no paid placement
The desk does not accept guest posts, sponsored reviews or paid placement at any price. Every page is written in-house, and no outside party can buy a mention, a ranking position or a softened description of a weakness.
Affiliate links are the only commercial relationship, and they are disclosed on the pages that carry them. A broker that pays a referral fee and a broker that does not are judged by the same checks.
What to send for each kind of question
For a question about a specific page, send the exact URL and the section heading you are looking at; for a data or figure query, include the instrument code (XAU/USD), the reference price you saw (for example 4275.0), and the time you checked. For a correction, send the page URL, the sentence or figure as published, and the source you are relying on. For a technical issue, send the browser or device, a screenshot, and the steps that led to the problem. This lets the desk locate the item without a back-and-forth.
For a question about margin or leverage, send the lot size you are calculating for, the entity you would trade through, and whether you are using the applicable cap. A worked example is at the applicable cap, a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin, and 1 standard lot is 100 oz with one pip at 0.01. If your question is about funding, state that you intend to use M-Pesa and what stage you are at. Do not send card numbers, M-Pesa PINs, or account passwords; the desk does not need them and will not use them.
For a question about the regulator or licensing, send the exact statement you are questioning and the jurisdiction you are checking for. The caveat for Kenya is that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by the CMA of Kenya. If your question is about a comparison on the site, name the two items being compared and the basis you expected, such as cost components or platform availability. For a general query about gold trading mechanics, state the instrument and the calculation you are trying to complete, and include any figures you already have so the reply can confirm or correct them.
What we can and cannot answer, and why personal trading advice is out of scope
We can answer questions about how the site works, what a published figure means, how a calculation is structured, and where a fact came from. We can explain the mechanics of a 0.10-lot gold position at the applicable cap requiring about $85.50 margin, and how pips are counted at 0.01 on XAU/USD with 1 lot equal to 100 oz. We can clarify the regulator caveat for Kenya and the funding route listed. We cannot tell you whether to buy or sell gold, what lot size to use, or how to manage an open position; that is personal trading advice and is outside what a comparison desk can provide.
We cannot answer questions that require your account details, your balance, your open positions, or your risk tolerance, because we do not hold or access that information. We cannot confirm whether a specific trade will be profitable, what price gold will reach, or whether now is a good time to enter. We cannot recommend a broker for your circumstances or verify a bonus or promotion that is not published on the site. If your question depends on your financial position, your goals, or your experience level, the honest answer is that it needs a licensed adviser, not a comparison desk.
We can explain what a cost consists of and what it depends on, but we cannot tell you that a spread, fee or commission is competitive, tight or low, because those are judgements we have not been given numbers to support. We can state the facts we hold and point to the source for each. We cannot provide tax advice for Kenya or any other jurisdiction, and we cannot interpret your personal tax position. We cannot mediate a dispute with a broker or tell you what a broker will decide. Where a question falls outside these limits, we will say so directly rather than guess.
The response time to expect and what affects it
We aim to reply within a few working days, but the actual time depends on the volume of messages and the complexity of the query. A correction request with a clear source is usually quicker to assess than a broad question about trading mechanics, because the check is specific. A message that arrives without a page URL, a figure, or a clear question takes longer because the desk has to ask for the missing detail first. We do not promise a fixed number of hours, and we do not operate a live chat or a phone line for site queries.
Response time is longer when a question needs a source check outside the facts published on the site, because we will not invent a figure or a date to close a ticket quickly. If your message asks for a number we were not given, such as a minimum deposit, a swap rate or a specific spread, the reply will explain that the number depends on the broker and the entity rather than supply a figure. That explanation may take an extra exchange. Messages sent during public holidays in Kenya may be read later than usual.
A useful message gets a faster answer because it can be routed to the right check on the first read. If you include the page URL, the exact sentence, the instrument code and any figure you are querying, the desk can confirm or correct without asking you to resend. If you send multiple unrelated questions in one message, expect the reply to address them in order, which can take longer than a single focused query. We answer in the order received, except where a correction affects published accuracy, which is handled first.
How a correction request is handled from receipt to published fix
A correction request is logged with the page URL, the published text, your source, and the date received, then checked against the facts the site is allowed to state. If the published item is wrong, the fix is made on the page and the change is noted internally. If the item is a figure we were not given, such as a spread, a swap or a minimum deposit stated as a number, the correction will remove the number and replace it with what the cost consists of and what it depends on. You will receive a reply confirming the outcome, not a silent edit.
The check is against the source facts, not against other websites, because two sites can disagree and still both be wrong. For a regulator statement, the check is whether the caveat matches the wording for Kenya: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by the CMA of Kenya. For a calculation, the check is whether the formula and the instrument details are right, such as 1 lot equal to 100 oz, a pip of 0.01, and the worked margin figure of about $85.50 for a 0.10-lot position at the applicable cap. If your source is a broker page, send the URL and the date you accessed it.
If the request concerns wording rather than a fact, such as a phrase you find unclear, the desk will consider a rewrite but will not change a statement that is accurate simply because it is unwelcome. If the request is a disagreement about trading strategy or a broker's service quality, it is not a correction and will be answered as a general query or redirected. A correction that removes an unsupported claim is treated as an improvement even if the original wording was common elsewhere. The reply will tell you what changed, or why no change was made.
What a useful message contains so an answer is possible
A useful message contains one clear question, the page URL it relates to, and the exact text or figure you are asking about. If the question is about a calculation, include the instrument code (XAU/USD), the lot size, and the reference price you used, for example 4275.0. If the question is about funding, state that you mean M-Pesa and what you are trying to confirm. If the question is about regulation, name the jurisdiction and quote the sentence you are checking. One question per message is easier to answer than a list.
A useful message does not contain passwords, M-Pesa PINs, card numbers, or screenshots showing your account balance. It does not ask for a recommendation on whether to trade, and it does not ask for a number the site has not published, such as a specific spread or a minimum deposit. If you are reporting a broken link or a display issue, include the device and browser and a screenshot of the error. If you are sending a source for a correction, include the URL and the date you accessed it so the check can be repeated.
A useful message says what outcome you want: a correction, a clarification, a source, or a confirmation that a statement is within the facts the site can state. It avoids vague openers such as “I have a question about gold” without saying which page or which figure. It keeps the quoted text short and exact, because a paraphrase cannot be checked against the published page. If your message is about a comparison, name the two items and the basis you expected, such as cost components or platform availability, so the reply can address the right point.
What we cannot do, and where account access, fund recovery and personal advice actually go
We cannot access your trading account, reset your password, release a withdrawal, or recover funds, because we do not hold client money and are not the broker. Those requests go to the broker's own support channel, using the contact details in your account or on the broker's official site. For FxPro, the entity that serves Kenya is the one to contact, and the regulator caveat to keep in mind is that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by the CMA of Kenya. We cannot escalate a ticket inside a broker's system or confirm what a broker will decide.
We cannot give personal trading advice, tell you whether to buy or sell gold, size a position for your account, or judge whether a loss is recoverable. That kind of guidance needs a licensed adviser who knows your financial position, and a comparison desk is not that. We cannot tell you what leverage setting to use; the maximum leverage available in Kenya is the cap that applies to the entity serving this country, and it is a cap, not a setting to aim at. We cannot recommend a broker for your circumstances or verify a promotion that is not published on the site.
We cannot recover money paid to a third party, mediate a dispute with a broker, or act as an intermediary in a complaint. If you believe you have been defrauded, the route is the broker's formal complaints process and then the relevant regulator or the police in Kenya, depending on the nature of the issue. We cannot provide legal advice or tax advice, and we cannot interpret your personal circumstances. Where a message asks us to do any of these things, the reply will say plainly that it is outside our role and point to the correct channel rather than attempt it.
Trade gold with FxPro
FxPro gives Kenyan traders MT4, MT5, cTrader and the FxPro app for XAU/USD, funded through M-Pesa. The entity that serves Kenya is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA, not by the CMA of Kenya, so understand the regulator you are actually dealing with before you fund.
